Basic Qualifications
- Preferably Electronics /Aeronautical/ Electrical / Systems Engineering
- Bachelor’s degree and 6+ years of relevant experience OR
- Advanced degree and 5+ years of relevant experience
2-12+ years engineering experience •
Experience with reliability, availability and/or maintainability engineering.
The Reliability Maintainability & Safety (RMS) Engineer ensures performance compliance of both customer and internal requirements.
In this role you will provide RMS consultation and required analyses by conducting the following tasks in order to influence product reliability:
Duties:
- Performing reliability prediction analyses including but not limited to component stress analysis, Mean Time Between Failure (MTBF), and Mean Time Between Unscheduled Removal.(MTBUR) on existing/developing electronic and mechanical products. These analyses are performed at the system/functional block as well as component level.
- Performing Failure Modes and Effects Analyses (FMEA) & Failure Modes Effects Criticality Analysis (FMECA)
- Performing System Safety Analyses (SSA) including Functional Hazard Analysis (FHA), Fault Tree Analyses (FTA) & Common cause Analyses.
- Performing Single Event Effect (SEE)
- Performing Electronics failure investigation & find root cause also suggest solutions.
Standard awareness
- MIL-HDBK-217, MIL-STD-338, MIL-STD-882E, SAE ARP 4761/4754, Also FAA/JAA and AC/AMJ25.1309 requirements.
Safety System Engineer
Job Responsibilities
- Perform an Avionics safety assessment Reports in accordance with ARP 4761/ MIL STD 882 and ARP 4754A., including but not limited to, Preliminary System Safety Assessments (PSSAs), System Safety Assessments (SSAs), Fault Tree Analysis (FTAs), Common Mode Analyses (CMAs)
- Support Aircraft and System Safety Analysis (ASA, SSA), Fault Hazard Assessment, & Design Assurance analysis of propulsion systems and installation, fuel systems, APU systems and installations, and engine controls and provide feedback to the program.
- Support ow down of system safety requirements to design and development of hardware and software based on the development assurance level (DAL)
Basic Qualifications
- Preferably Electronics /Aeronautical/ Electrical / Systems Engineering
Bachelor’s degree (and 6+ years of relevant experience OR
Advanced degree and 5+ years of relevant experience
- Experience in systems safety analysis as per ARP4761/ ARP4754
- Demonstrated expertise with CAFTA or similar Fault Tree analysis tools
- Understanding of DO 254/DO178C/ DO 160 standards will be added advantage
- Demonstrated expertise in aircraft or embedded systems
- Knowledge in reliability engineering theory
- Effective oral/written communication skills (including technical writing)
- Effective interpersonal and team skills
- Demonstrated expertise on how to prepare and present technical information to peers, to all levels of internal management, and to external customers
- Demonstrated expertise on how to coordinate several projects and complex engineering activities while balancing priorities and schedules
- Engaging in effective time management, working with a great deal of independence
